Isaiah Toothtaker + MURS // New Video + Tumbleweeds Sighting

Isaiah Toothtaker - Hyperbolic Chamber Music from Мишка Bloglin on Vimeo.

This totally made my day. I finally got a chance to check out our friend Isaiah's new video "Hyperbolic Chamber Music" and not only is it a super good video + song guess what we discovered?! MURS is sporting a pair of Tumbleweeds Clubmasters! We made these custom for Isaiah almost a year ago with Javelina tooth inlays in a dark ebony wood. Isaiah let MURS wear them for the video and we are so so hyped! You can see more from Isaiah HERE and HERE.

We're bringing Clubmasters back in a big way for spring, so be on the lookout so you can get a custom pair too!

Snake Skin + Bonnie Billy + Panic Attacks

Doug finished these one of a kind pair of snakeskin sunglasses this morning. Our buddy Shawn who opened the local shop with us, lives out on a ranch right now. He found a rattlesnake by the horses and had to kill it. Rattlesnakes are really dangerous in Tucson, especially on the horse ranches, so Shawn had to kill it. He isn't unkind though. He fried it up, ate it and saved the skin for us.

Of course, Doug figured out a way to adhere it to the sunglasses and created these beautiful one of a kind shades. They are strange, I know, but the craftsmanship is immaculate and they really are unique. What do you think?

I wanted to share a song with you today too. There isn't much to say about it except it is probably one of my favorites, of all time.

The panic has set in. Our etsy shop sales have dropped so significantly, and our local store has been really quiet this week. It's scary, taking risks and relying on something that isn't set in stone. We try to stay positive. It's all you can do. :)

Hope all is well in your parts! We have the street fair this weekend and are pretty pumped about that! What do you think of the new layout? I'm still learning and testing the water!

From the Tin Can to Dog Beach

We went to Chris's show last night and it was really fun, although I think I am getting really old because by 11pm, I was ready for bed. Laaaame. Here are some photos.

At Nunu's before the show.

I picked Doug up from work today and we drove to OB for some dog beach fun. Charlie had a blast. He's the cutest dog in the world and I love seeing him play with other dogs, besides his brothers.

And of course, a little bit of this.

ps, my computer is all fixed now, and thankfully wasn't as broken as they first told me it was. I am still trying to take a little break from being online-non-stop. I have a lot planned tomorrow.

Our Trip to the Zoo

Here are some photos from our trip to the zoo the other day. I hope we go back again later this week. I have SO MUCH to do today, so I will let the photos speak for themselves.

Oh, and I will leave you with this video by my friend Isaiah from his new album "Illuminati Thug Mafia" Enjoy!

Chris Hall

Because the world, even my blog world, doesn't always revolve around me, I wanted to share a good friend of ours with you. Chris Hall.

He's like a little brother to us. Crashes on our couch and eats all our pizza, but we love him. We also love his music. So, I thought today, I would share a video he did with another good friend, Isaiah Toothtaker of Machina Muerte (and werdemup) Isaiah has a hip-hop label, world famous tattoo shop Staring Without Caring, and he's one rad dude. He's putting out Chris' first album "Brown Bottle Blues" soon. (flyer design by Marc Nava)

Anyways. Chris plays acoustic guitar and writes a majority of the songs he performs. He plays a lot of local shows, mostly at The Red Room downtown and you should check out his music page and come to his next show.

(This is a photo from when he played at Doug's last solo show "Never is Forever" Stas Yamnitskiy took this photo.)

And he has a super cool dog named Talulah (his birthday present from us!!) that is the apple of his eye. She's a sweetheart and she and Monster cuddle for hours.

More on the chaos of today later. xo!
