Giveaway // Mustache on a Stick from Something's Hiding in Here

Shauna and Stephen of Something's Hiding in Here are pretty much my small biz heroes. They make the most amazing products and it seems like every week they have a new big project springing up. I first discovered the duo from their amazing Etsy video There's No Place like Here and Shauna's interview on how she quit her day job!

This giveaway isn't JUST for fun and games though! It actually has a really incredible purpose. To spread the word about a really rad organization called Movember.

This is what they are all about! : "On Movember 1st, guys register at Movember.com with a clean-shaven face. During the Month of November, Something's Hiding in Here is donating all of their sales of their Mustache of a Stick to Movember, and their goal is to get the word out about men's health through social networking. An Autumn Sunglasses Giveaway

We are really getting amped for the holiday season, and one thing I have been looking forward to is hosting a few giveaways for sunglasses in October. You will have three, yes that's right, three opportunities to win a pair of sunglasses this month, and your first chance is right here, where it all started.

You'll have an opportunity to completely customize your sunglasses. We'll work with you in creating the perfect shape, wood style and look! This is so exciting for us because we are starting to bring in new styles for fall and now is the time, before the busy holiday season really starts, for us to have this contest. Summertime Snack

One of my favorite summertime snacks is homemade guacamole and tortilla chips. This afternoon I took a quick break from working, and made some guacamole and fried up some whole wheat tortilla chips. It was the perfect afternoon snack.

I even got to use tomatoes from my garden. They were SO good!

I don't know if our giveaway was too much work or if people are just too busy, but we only have two entries to the contest. Both were phenomenal and I want to open up voting now!

Le Contest + LA Adventure

The design contest is still happening and you only have one week left to submit your design and enter the contest on the blog! We are excited to see all of the entries, as I know you all are super talented and creative! Plus, who doesn't want a custom pair of sunglasses based on their own design. Get on over and enter before it's too late!

Yesterday, we drove up to LA to hand deliver a wholesale order of some really beautiful sunglasses that will be used in an ongoing photo project around the world! We are so excited to see where the sunglasses go! We kind of wish we could pack our selves up and do the same!

So silly me, I didn't take any photos of our sunglasses with their new owner, but I was too excited talking and playing show and tell. After our little meeting, we drove over to the North Hollywood Skate Park for a hot minute while Doug checked it out.

And then down to Hollywood Boulevard for some ginat pizza!

I wish we could have stayed longer, but we had so much work to do, and are taking full advantage of having a friend in town to help out. We stayed up until the wee hours of the morning working, and my fingers were numb from sanding, and Doug couldn't see straight anymore.

My veins are flowing with coffee, we're off to do a tool run, and then back to work! I love it! We have never been happier!

We are starting a contest // Giveaway that is going to blow the top off of any other contest and there are so many ways to enter, it is unbelievable! The best news, you get to be the architect of your giveaway prize! The mastermind! The creator and birth mother! Here's how you do it!

Download and print the above image from our Flickr and start designing the sunglasses of your dreams! We don't care how you do it! Be creative with the materials, cut and glue images from magazine, find photos of celebrity sunglasses, sew plush sunglasses, draw, paint, digital designs, bake sunglasses cupcakes for all we care, just have a blast! Incorporate wood/nature/summer! You can email us at tumbleweeds.shop{at}gmail{dot}com with images, descriptions and your contact information before JULY 14th!

The best part! YOU, the people, get to vote on your favorite sunglasses designs! So not only do the entries below count, but the vote you get will decide the fate of this giveaway! All entries must be in by July 14th at 11:59pm. We will post all of the entries and you can vote for only one week. At the end of that week, we will announce the winner. The winning design will be made/posted for all to see and you, the lucky winner will get a pair of your very own! These sunglasses will be one of a kind, never duplicated, never copied!
