My Sewing Machine

I've been doing A LOT of sewing lately and I have to say, I love my machine. I have a Singer Merritt 4530 that Doug got me when my White Rotary took a turn for the worse.
My machine isn't fancy, it doesn't do much besides the pretty standard stuff, but it's perfect for me. I am not very proficient at advanced sewing. I can make bags, pillow cases, hem jeans and that's about it. That being said, this machine has made my life easier multiple times. It is easy to thread, has enough settings for me to sew a multitude of materials, and is really easy to use.
It has wood dust all over it right now, so sorry I didn't take any close-ups. It seems like everything in our house has wood dust on it these days. ;)

Hope everyone is having a good Thursday! We're finishing up a wholesale order and then heading up to Los Angeles to deliver them! Then back to work here in SD. We have lots to do!

xo,
Beca

  1. you're so busy, it's awesome! (right?) thanks for the sewing machine tip, i have one that's always jamming and so is shy away from it. maybe when i get a new one i'll look into yours. i'm just a basic seamstress, too.

    have a great day!

  2. I'm not good at advanced sewing either. I have a Singer Simple and it does everything I need and I don't break things on it. :)

  3. Marie, we found mine at the swap meet for $30. It was such a great find, but I see them all the time! I grew up sewing with my Mom on a Singer, so I trust them!
