Peaches and A Full Moon

The sky has opened up these last few days and poured down on us, but we are thankful because the heat here has been unbearable. It rad living in the mountains during storms, so surreal. I am loving our house and our property more and more each day. It is green and lush and quiet, the perfect setting for us. We can play in the woods, or drive 5 minutes into town. Okay, maybe 10 minutes. :)

I got this dress the other day at Forever 21. I am really super in love with it. The colors and the weird moon print with a random ladybug. It's strange and pretty and probably not the best dress to wear in the rain because I got soaked leaving the courthouse today and it instantly became see-through. Why was I at the courthouse, you ask. Well, we bought a truck yesterday! Did I already mention that? Yes! A really rad truck. And we had to run around for part of the day going to emissions (it needs a catalytic converter, so it won't pass emissions yet, but the van did! Yay!) and then we got the van registered in Tennessee, and we were about to go get temporary tags, but it was storming so bad we decided to just come home and get back to work.

It stopped raining for just a minute so Doug and I took some photos. I did some work, and now we have to run across town to get some parts. Life life life. I'm making Challah french toast tomorrow for le blog, so I'll be back with that tomorrow. Promise.

Oh yeah, here's a photo of the truck we got. It's an 1984 GMC High Sierra.

Any new things happening in your life?

  1. Love that old truck! And I'm so jealous of anyone who has saltwaters. It's been kind of stormy here too, but it's a nice change from all the wildfires.

  6. Did you check about historic plates? The age varies in a lot of states but if deemed historic it may not need to go through the same emissions.
