Getting our shhhhh together!

Because our living room looked like this when we went to sleep last night, we spent all morning organizing our space and cleaning up. (um...those are all sunglass and bracelet orders...holy holy!!!)
Doug's space was easy, but I'm not going to lie to you friends, I have way too much stuff. Like picnic baskets full of leather, material, yarn, paints, papers, stuff. It took me way longer to get orgaaized than it took Doug. Look, he's already working and I'm still putting stuff away!!
I put all of my paints together and I think I am going to start painting more. I used to love it. I don't know why I stopped. I guess life just got too busy.
And finally put all of my crafty junk under the desk and in baskets, all in one place...uhh, I still have too much.
I am still feeling like awful. I didn't sleep at all, and when i did, I had dreams about blowing my nose and red velvet cake coming out. GROSS, right! (I am making a shaped red velvet cake tomorrow and it's on my mind...)

Well, I'm off to the packing supply store and then the post office. SO much stuff to mail out. Yesterday was an awesome day and really validated this huge change in our life. I mean, it's going to be different, but the support has been overwhelming.

We have a friend coming into town for the rest of the week so I need to clean the house so it looks like I have a busy day ahead of me. Thank God for dayquil.

xo,
Beca

PS

  1. Good job on organizing! My tools/ supplies are always scattered around our house. They have their 'homes' but rarely are they ever in them.

i read all about your doggies this morn on Crystals blog. we should have a puppy play date soon :) Patrick is still a pup and gets crazy energetic around other dogs. It's funny.

AND the shop seems like its doing amazing! So excited for you guys and the fun changes that are happening :) yay!

  2. i love that you use picnic baskets for your crafts... way more pretty than my clear tubs for sure! yes, get back to painting! I'd love to see your work on your blog -- you are a crafting/talented goddess!

but what i love most about you is your love of your brood-- such a sweet feature! and you described what it is to be a dog mom perfectly-- how can you ever feel lonely with a pup's unconditional love? worth every high heeled by 3 have chewed for sure.

    xo!

+ have fun with your friends visiting :)

  6. Love your baskets of yarn and stuff :) So cute! I have a few (baskets of yarn) and someone asked if they were for display, which made me laugh. I go through spurts of knitting - it would help if I knew how to make more than a plain rectangle...
Look forward to seeing more of your painting! I didn't know you painted until I stumbled across the buffalo in your shop! Made me smile.
