Morning in Bloom

Our pomegranate tree in blooming. The tiny white flowers and little red fruits are so delicate and pretty. I'm so excited for the fruits to grow big and juicy so we can pick them and juice them. I LOVE pomegranate juice.

Our roses are beginning to bloom also. I got one good, full bloom, but a whole mess of buds. It's so funny to me that in order to make your rose bush flourish, you have to clip all the prettiest flowers off. At least we get to enjoy them in our home. The daffodils are from the market. They might be my new favorite. They're so pretty and bright. I love having a little spot for them when they are in season.

I am going to take the dogs for a warm up run right now and then start my pilates routine. I'm excited! I love it so far. Very intense. Also, I am having serious withdrawals from coca-cola. I had a headache all day yesterday and woke up feeling hungover this morning. I'm drinking a lot of coffee, so I am not a total bitch-fest, but it's going to be hard to not constantly have a coke in my hand. I'm not joking, it's been a staple in my life for a long long time. (I'm not completely cutting it out, but I am not buying it for our home anymore. We are weaning off it with clear, natural soda, juice, coffee and lots of water. It will be extra special when we go out and have a coke.)

I'll be back later today with some photos of new items in our shop and possibly another Lovely Ladies feature. What is your morning routine? Are flowers blooming all around you?

Beca Lew

  1. Hi! I'm in your Indie 3.0 class. I live in Texas and we have the Dogwoods blooming everywhere! We went on a hike Saturday and everything was blooming and green - I love the beginning of Spring!

  2. Well, here in Chicago, flowers are not blooming, no. Darn it. In another month, perhaps.

Also, is it weird that I didn't know pomegranates grew on trees?
