Apple and Gouda, A Reason To Celebrate

Sometimes you have no reason to celebrate other than two perfectly matched foods make a meal. This is that meal, I suppose. Pita crisps with green apple, sliced gouda and chicken sausage. I couldn't dream of a better matched food pair. I threw in a small spinach, tomato {from our garden} and olive salad and some stuffed grapes {by the way, muscadine grapes are not at all what I thought they would be, and are more of a savory/hearty grape and not really my style. I stuffed them with goat cheese.}

It's busy busy here, hence the quiet. I hope to crawl out of this cave to see daylight soon. I am feeling so disconnected to my blog and twitter and the internet in general. I kind of miss it, but don't tell anyone.

  2. This looks almost identical to my favorite chicken sausage meal ever, minus the olives. I don't really eat olives (forgive me). I love apple and cheese anything so this is a winner in my book. Love it.

  4. This looks delicious! I love apples and cheese; especially gouda. Muscadines are an odd grape, a lot of people make wine out of them, but I've made jelly and it taste great. I don't like regular grape jelly and this was light enough to not be so over powering.
