A Closer Look

Sometimes I forget I have so many tattoos. They have just plain become a part of my skin, a part of who I am. That's probably the reason why i don't feel the need to show them off, or talk about them, because I forget they're there. Today, while I was taking photos outside, I thought I would show y'all a few little close ups of what I see every day.

Don't they look different when they are in bits and pieces? I love the way my tattoos look, I wouldn't change a single one of them. I especially like black lines and little details. I guess you could say it's kind of my thing. Do you have tattoos? Tell me about them!

  3. Your tattoos are wonderful :) you're much braver than me as I do have tattoos but i'm too scared to go big or colourful...though I may get a Link tattoo (from Zelda)...I may have him in colour.

I have 7 tattoos: My boyfriend's name on my right bum cheek, Mordez Moi on my neck (translates to : Bite Me in french), Batman logo on my wrist, alien vs predator symbol on my other wrist, Stegosaurus tattoo on my ankle, one of my dogs paw prints on my other ankle and an alien illustrated by Oliver Jeffers on my inner ankle...

    I want moreeee!

  5. I don't have any tattoos... I haven't decided on anything I'd like to see on myself permanently, and doubt I'd pluck up the courage to actually face the needle. If I did, I would probably get an ouroboros on my wrist (it symbolises constant change, so surely would solve the issue of changing my mind - plus it just looks awesome) or a line from a favorite novel...
Despite not having any of my own, I'm really interested in how people choose to decorate themselves; thank you for sharing these interesting images!

  6. That's weird, I just took a bunch of supercloseup photos of my tattoos the other day and haven't posted them yet, but I basically almost wrote this exact same post. Maybe I still will.

  7. i love that you have so many. the moth is especially pretty. i like the one you have on the top of your hand too. i think that placement is so cool even though I'm not brave enough for that yet. i love seeing heavily tattooed ladies! and hope to be one some day.

i'm working on it. i'm trying to do mostly big pieces now. i have a big octopus on my left arm and a badass pegasus on my right, kind of traditional japanese style. i'm getting a beetlejuice sandworm/snake in two weeks! i can't wait! i have a sugarskull pug coming out of a rose on my foot (i'm too chicken to get my other foot done yet. it was SO BAD). i have a really big dorky weezer tattoo on my back, it is a heart with a flying w and a banner that says "say it ain't so". then i have bunnnicula the vampire rabbit, and some strawberry and crossbones on my back. and my husband and i have matching black bears.
