Letting the Cat out of the Bag

That's right. Doug and I, along with our houseful of animals, and our two best buddies, Shawn and Chris Hall, are packing up shop and home and moving to the great state of Tennessee on January 1st, 2012. Just 30 short days!! We're moving to the little, but growing, town of Chattanooga, to be exact. We couldn't be happier. I have so much more to share, but we've been so busy that every time I sit down to blog, I end up not finishing. I have so many in queue!!

Most importantly, I am happy to be going home. I want to be closer to my family, and Doug's family, who I very much consider to be mine also. We want our business to thrive and for our expenses to be minimal. We want land, and seasons, and I'm not alone in saying, Goddamnit, I want my accent back. (No thanks to 3+ years of speech therapy, I will get it back, if it's the last thing I do...)

It's been fun, San Diego, but I bought my first winter coat last night and I am ready to use it. This little tumbleweed will be rolling before we know it.

  1. Ohhhh Beca. I'm sad that it will be a long time before I get to visit you again. BUT I'm pretty sure I told you I wanted to move to TN? Looks like I've got another reason... :)

  4. Congratulations! Very exciting :) Definitively need to make a road trip to the shop since you're in the state next door instead of on the west coast. Good luck!

  15. I live about thirty miles away from Chattanooga. It's one of my favorite cities ever! You have to check out Good Dog, I literally dream about their hot dogs. And there are so many neat little shops downtown -- I think you would fit in nicely! I'm excited for you, and I hope your move goes well.
