Which WOOD You Choose? Pt. 1

People have been emailing us left and right about our wood selections, so I finally buckled down and took photos of the prettiest and most unique of our veneer. If you found this from our Custom Listings on Etsy, welcome and have a look around.

You can choose any of these woods, in any combination for our two-toned sunglasses, or diamond/dot accent sunglasses. You can also request a custom design, the sky is the limit!

This is a detailed list of the wood selection we have available right now and since our collection is always growing we will add to this as time goes on.

Pau Ferro is a Brazilian wood that has a similar feel to Rosewood, but is harder and lighter in color. It is also called Palo Santos, Morado and Caviuna. Its scientific name is Caesalpinia Ferrea. The grain varies in a diagonal grade and can be veneered on sunglasses from dark to light, or vice versus.
Wenge, or Millettia Laurentii, is a rich, dark wood veneer with a lot of dense grain and is often called Faux Ebony because of its similarities to the other.
Our Maple selection includes Birds Eye Maple, Quilted Maple and Maple. They are each beautiful in their own right, and each have very different qualities, as you can see in the photos.
Mahogany is a rich reddish wood with a soft grain and subtle look.
Poplar, or also know as Populus, is a light, greenish wood that fades from light white to olive color.

This is just Part 1 of the wood selection we have to offer! Be on the look out for Pt. 2.

Beca & Doug
