A Gift to Me

This morning, I was really inspired by my pal Micaela's blog post about gifting yourself. Today is my day off, and I definitely have a lot to do, but first, I decided to spoil myself for a bit. I made biscuits and smothered them with ambrosia. I cut up an orange and sliced some honeycomb, and it really was my dream lunch. Considering I ate oatmeal this morning, and had ramen at like 9:30 in the morning. I wasn't THAT hungry, but for some reason, this week I have been starving constantly. Don't ask me why, I have no idea. I'm sure I'll make another snack before dinner too! Ah!
I am reading the book "In The Woods" by Tana French and I can't put it down. I never thought I would like a crime novel, but this one is super good and I can't wait to finish it, although I know I'll be bummed. Like I am at the end of every book!

  1. i've never tried ambrosia...but those biscuits look sooo good!

  2. I'm going to check out that book now. I need something like right now to keep my mind occupied. Those biscuits look SO good.
You should try sweet ricotta, honey and pistachios. Also really yummy:)

  3. I can't put this book down, Carla. I wasn't sure I would love it, but I'm hooked. It drives Doug crazy, because I find a book I love and don't do anything else for three days until I finish it! haha!

  4. Ashlee, Ambrosia is like a honey butter. It is raw honey and bee pollen blended together and GREAT for allergies and immune system health.

  5. beca, yay for this!!! you deserve it and you're my kind of dream girl-- a girl who loves to eat? if i ever came and visited, i fear we'd eat and eat-- especially with your sweet creations! ;)

ps. that book sounds amazing (i just went on amazon) i haven't read a thriller in a long time and the feeling of not being able to put a book down is hands down, THE BEST TREAT!

  6. yum. i should have hung out at your house today ;)

  7. Micaela! I live only to eat!! seriously!
    Can we be besties, please!
And AINSLEY! Why didn't you?? I didn't leave the house today...
