Half Frame

I have been meaning to try out this Canon half frame camera we got a while ago. I didn't put a lot of energy or thought into the photos because I didn't even know if the camera worked, and didn't want to get bummed out if the photos didn't turned out. So I wanted to share some of the photos that I actually liked. I can't wait to get more film and play with this camera more!

Today wasn't totally awesome, but I did have some success with my first go at French Macarons. I'm going to try again tomorrow and see if I can get a full batch without some of them cracking. I'm going to have to ask some of my pastry friends )or ya'll) why the shells crack so easily.
I am exhausted. Have a nice night!

xo,
Beca

  3. i love those pictures! So great! ...AND I LOVE french macarons! Like, I really can't emphasize how much I love them. I had a rose flavored one in San Francisco and don't think I've ever been happier with a dessert. I want to try some of yours- they look delicious! :)

  4. From what I've read, when the shells crack its because they haven't been set out to dry long enough before baking. You should touch the tops with your fingers after letting them sit at least 15 mins, if it doesn't stick to your finger it's ready to bake. If it does, it needs to dry longer. Sometimes I've had to dry mine for over 30 minutes first.
