CLOSED! Winner is Sarah Mellor! Congrats!
When I think about Camp + Quarry, I think about the woods. It may be because I know Sarah, or maybe it's her incredible style of photographing her products in nature, it may be the name, or maybe it's just the raw nature of her work. Or all of the above, I suppose. I've known Sarah since before we were making sunglasses, when I was a pastry chef in San Diego, and when we opened our shop in Normal Heights, I had a handful of Sarah's necklaces in the store. I have watched Sadie become Camp + Quarry, and I am so thankful for blogging and the etsy community for having brought us together. Last fall, I lived in my dipped amethyst necklace and now that it's fall again, I have been wearing it often.
The woods behind our house are morphing into an autumn wonderland, and becoming a carpet of yellows, oranges and muted green. I love seeing the seasons change and the boys love romping through the leaves. It's the time of year when I can layer, wear flannel and boots, and drink more coffee than I know what to do with.
{my outfit details : vintage flannel shirt//Doug's, skirt//thrifted, tights//hue, boots//steve madden, necklaces// Camp+Quarry, Dinosaurtoes bullet necklace / brass and Pyrite - similar}

My favorite is the raw citrine necklace!
ReplyDeleteI would wear it with this new dress I bought that has sploshes of red and gray on it. It would look so perfect for an Autumn walk in the park!

I adore the aurora borealis necklace. It's sooo pretty. I would totally rock that with a pretty dress and some glittery tights.

My favorite post on the journal would have to be "Getting Lost" - If I had to base the favorite on the photography alone, it would be impossible to choose. But this post also has a quote that I really love.

I also visited the C&Q online shop and I think one of my favorites is the "
ReplyDeleteraw agate geode crystal miniature grizzly bear woodland necklace with silver chain".
I would wear it with a green skirt, and pale blue shirt. That way it would look like the little bear is wondering through the mountains/caverns on a bright summery day. :]
ps: the picture of you playing in the leaves is too cute!

ReplyDeletei just visited the shop, and i love the Gold dipped raw clear quartz crystal, black tourmaline, and gold black ice necklace. i love that its two stones, i love anything layered for fall! I'd wear this with my go to fall wardrobe of a cardi, tee, skinnies, boots and the necklace layered with a scarf. i love mixing my jewelry up with scarves, no need to wear one or the other, and you still have an awesome necklace on when you get too hot for the scarf!

ReplyDeleteVisited the online shop. The Geode with a miniature cave explorer (raw agate geode necklace crystal miniature cave explorer necklace with silver chain) is amazing! It's so magical! I'd wear that all fall and winter!!
ReplyDeleteVisited the online journal. Love the Fall Creek entry. Their whole journal is fantastic. It makes me want to live out of Shelby when she's finished and just travel around with Pacific Northwest. I'll do it someday, I swear it. My dream has always been to live out of a camper and travel.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the Amethyst Raw Crystal Point February Birthstone Silver Dipped Crystal Pendant Necklace. I don't have a lot of purple hues in my wardrobe, so it'd be the perfect pop for fall. I'd wear this necklace on a super awesome weekend day exploring abandon houses, taking photos, checking out the changing leaves, and visiting yard sales/flea markets with my boyfriend. I forgot breakfast! Yep, I'd start the day off eating breakfast at a local restaurant. I'd wear this necklace with a mustard top, gray cardigan, colored jeans, and killer boots.

I am in LOVE with this necklace http://www.etsy.com/listing/64940344/gold-dipped-raw-clear-quartz-crystal Not just for Fall, but for always. I would wear it paired with my faaavourite go-to fall outfit; my leather look leggings, a big oversized sweater and knit scarf, paired with my favourite motorcycle boots. I wear this pretty much everyday when the weather is chilly and so I need things like pretty necklaces to jazz up my outfits!
ReplyDeleteI'm following campandquarry on IG!
ReplyDeleteHer photos are amazing. My favourite post is the one from Stanley Park. Wow, the lillies don't even look like they're in water, it just looks like a field.

I'm head over heels for this necklace. http://www.etsy.com/listing/73554269/black-tourmaline-raw-citrine-crystal. I know it would turn into that necklace that I wear everyday. I think that the gold and citrine together are the perfect fall pair. And black makes everything even more amazing.

DeleteI love and adore the gold tipped/dipped amethyst necklace. It'd make a great addition to just about any outfit, but I'd be tempted to wear it with a black dress, grey cardigan, and brown boots. Definitely out on dates, and sometimes to work, though depending on the chain length, I'd be afraid of dipping it in something (milk/froth) at work. :)

I think the citrine necklace is actually my favorite. I think I'd wear it with a simple black top to show it off, maybe with some jeans and boots :) the geode necklaces are also amazing and adorable. I'm quickly falling in love with this shop, and I love your story of how you two met :) figures crossed!

ReplyDeleteI love the EtsyXO pink minimalist rose quartz points and gold chain crystal necklace. I have a short sleeve black lace dress that I've been looking to pair with the perfect accessories and I think this may be it! The dress has an exposed gold zipper in the back so the necklace would match perfectly. I also just got these killer gold glitter booties and I'm dying to wear them. Too much gold? I think not. I'd wear this to dinner or find a reason to wear it ;)
