Boxes.

While yall were doing election things tonight, we were working and glancing at the news ever so often to see what was happening. I've never cared much for politics, I hate talking about them - I know what I believe in and how I plan to live my life and no one man will make a difference in that, so I pretty much stay out of it. Anyways, this space has been quiet, but we've never been busier. And next week, some things will be changing here, all for the better. Here's a photo of our living room right now. We need a bigger space to work!
We made some cheese during our little break tonight, that was fun and I am kind of obsessed now. I'll share it tomorrow if I have time. I also have another holiday gift guide coming up Friday! Another wholesale order shipping tomorrow, and this big old one shipping Thursday. It's all happening right now and we couldn't be happier.

Have a good wednesday!

Beca

  1. I want to hear all about your cheese making!!

I think what you said there about knowing how you're going to live your life and no one man changing that is so spot on. I think that sometime people get so caught up in election fever - it's the same over here in the UK - and forget that we are in control of what we want to do. A lot of these laws that get made and unmade often don't even effect us.

    1. even if they are supposed to effect us, I can't live by someone else's doctrine. I make my own life and politicians do not speak for me. I have no interest in them or their bullshit lies. I see hungry children when they are spending millions of dollars on TV commercials. This is why I don't talk politics, because President Obama is just as guilty. They are all scum in my opinion.

  5. I am still amazed that you have time to eat a bite let alone cook up delicious things! You didn't miss much on the political front. I have indigestion from it all. Argh. Rock on though, lady. You and your fella are inspiring!

  6. That cheese sounds *amazing*! Also, holy crap lady. Y'all are so so dedicated. :D

And I didn't do anything political either, I don't even vote - but we did watch the later half of the coverage!

  7. We're all pretty lucky Obama won, seeing as both of us are all about being ladies who get to choose our lifestyle and also own small businesses:)

    Got lucky.

    1. I suppose you could say we're lucky, but I don't believe in luck, nor do I believe that one man in power will effect my life one way or another.
There are thousands of babies starving and dying in our own great country, while Mitt Romney and Barack Obama spend millions of dollars on TV commercials. I think they can both suck it. I make my life, its successes and failures, and not one man is going to have a goddamn say in it.
But that's just me, and that's why I do what I can to be a good person, stay off the grid and keep my politics out of the spotlight, because when it comes down to it, I don't give a shit about the government and their meaningless laws.

    2. I hear what you are saying, and I know many people agree with you. And I don't believe in luck either... I was hoping to find a diplomatic way to identify.I believe in hard work, determination, and resiliency. That's how things happen.

I do believe in trying to make the world a better place, no matter the cost. And so, when civil rights in general are called into question I will respond. Too long, I have disappeared into my own world only worried about myself and my life without realizing that what goes on in the outside world DOES affect me. Its unfortunate that it has to, but it does. I want to live my life in whatever way I decide, and so I must support those that allow it.

And I would challenge you when you're worried about the thousands of starving babies (probably millions) to find a way to help. Children especially are left to the mercy of the adults around them and need advocates who have their best interests in mind.

The state of the world only gets better when we work hard on it.

  8. I voted but I totally get what you mean. I stayed out of it besides for what Jen said above. But I will always do whatever I want because I say so.

I'm excited to hear your guys big news! Rock stars over there. I also can't believe you have time to make cheese! Double the rock stars.

    1. i do what i want, too. i doubt anyone is going to change that. I'll live off the grid before I let someone tell me how to live my life, and that goes for both parties.
