Playing Catch Up

Oh hi there! It has been a really busy week, and if you are a regular reader, then you know we've been living and breathing sunglasses. I finally had a second to upload some photos from the past week!

We took a drive up to La Jolla to meet up with the Manager of the X-Store at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Starting in a few weeks, you can get Tumbleweeds Sunglasses at the shop! We are super excited! We'll share more photos when we deliver the goods!
We had tacos at our friends house last week. It was nice to get out of the house, but it was back to work for us right afterwards.
We stopped in PB on the way home from La Jolla and grabbed burgers. They were ridiculous and huge. But delicious.
I got a new necklace in the mail a few days from WITH CARE who I discovered via Molly at the Velvet Tangerine. When I bought this necklace I got a message from Elizabeth, who makes all of the treasures at WITH CARE telling me how much she has been loving our sunglasses. Small world. But it's one of the biggest reasons I love buying and selling in this community because it is so supportive and connected! By the way, besides the necklace being amazing, the packaging was tops. I was almost as excited about the packaging as I was the necklace. I'm such a nerd!!
I haven't been taking many photos at work because it's been really really busy, but here are a few little bits. The second cake is seriously my dream cake, but maybe in a round. I might make it for my birthday party instead of the travel trailer. I don't know yet!
We also took a little break tonight to go and see Winnie the Pooh! It was so good! Such a feel-good movie that left me feeling really sentimental. Also, the Zooey Deschannel songs were to die for! I loved every minute of it. Winnie the Pooh was my favorite book when I was a kid and I had a collection of stories in hardback that I remember vividly. I don't have very many memories from when my parents were still together, but sitting on my living room floor reading Winnie the pooh stories is a fond one. I also think it is appropriate that my nursery was all pooh. Sorry if I'm gushing, but my experience in film school with kids movies leaves me swooning over kids movies that are THAT GOOD.

So, getting back to work, but just to give ya'll a heads up, we are slowing cycling out the current styles in the shop, and will be introducing new styles in August for our late summer-early fall collection. Be patient with us! Have a great Friday night/weekend!

xo,
Beca

  4. Yo girl! Thanks for the kind words! I'd love to see a photo of you rockin' that necklace. Also, I gotta confess, I sometimes have more fun thinking up ideas for packaging than making jewelry.
