Not all of us have jobs that we go to everyday and get to look stylish and professional. I wear slip-on skate shoes, cuffed jeans and a black tee-shirt to work every day. If I wore anything that I actually like or spent money on, I would be stupid because it would just get ruined. I have sadly made this mistake before. Also, for someone who likes doing fun stuff to my hair, I have to keep it tied back and covered at work.
I know I am not the only one, so I thought it would be fun to do a few little tutorials on how I tie my hair up when i go to work. The great things is that you can wear your hair like this whenever, you don't have to work in a kitchen to have fun with tying your hair up!
This first style is a take on the 1950s housewife/turban style. I used a vintage scarf, but you can use just about any kind of fabric that is square.
Fold your scarf into a triangle, and tie it up with the ends at the top of your head. Tie a knot over the tip of the triangle.
Tie a pretty bow!
Then fold the end of the triangle back and tuck it in.
And feel as cute as you can because it is the sweetest way, I think, to tie your hair up and keep those tresses out of the way. Your creme brulee thanks you.
I have a few more of these scheduled to post soon! Back to making sunglasses. We shipped out about 20 today!

Yay! I'm super excited. I work in a Mediterranean restaurant and have to keep my hair (that I've been trying to grow out for the longest) up. Usually I clip it up but, that gets really boring. Can't wait to see more of your how-to's.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute!!! I love the style of tied up hair. :D
