I am not a maxi dress kind of girl. I have a tall Dutch body - big bones, wide shoulders, long long legs. So, maxi dresses look extra, um, maxi on me and usually don't even touch my ankles. But I decided to take a risk on this dress because I really, really loved it. We stopped by our friends clothing shop the other day and I couldn't pass this gem up for $22. I'm not going to lie, as soon as I pull out my sewing machine, it's getting hemmed to a more comfortable length, but I have worn it a few times since I got it, and the length is...growing on me? I may also dye it black. Sorry folks, I just can't help it! There are also some other great parts of this outfit, like my new glasses (thanks, Doug) and my favorite Minnetonka moccasins ever of all time.

It doesn't even come close to being a real maxi though. And it sort of feels like I'm wearing pajamas, but old fashioned, prairie pajamas. Here is another truth. I almost didn't post these photos. My bangs are all messy, my face looks tired, I could go on and on, but then I stopped and said "who cares" I love this outfit and I work at home, so I don't have to fix my damn hair, I've lost 15 pounds (although you can't really tell with this dress!) I never sleep, so of course my face looks tired. Duh. So from someone who hates photos of herself, and never wears a maxi, here's to you, Monday! Here's to you. How do you feel about maxi dresses? Do you wear them? Do you loathe them? Happy Monday!

Beca
