Recent Junk Store Finds

I've been infected with some awful stomach flu for the past 2 days, and today I was able to drink a coffee without puking, although lunch was another story. I'm pretty drained, but I did muster up the energy to edit some photos from the other day.

Paint by Numbers Impalas $4 // Paint by Numbers Deer $1 // Vintage Hat Collection $6 // Moving Cards $.10 for 10 // Stamp Kit $.50 // Vintage Ray-Ban Sunglasses $1

We have been doing a lot of junking lately. Nobody seems to know what they have out here, or at least don't care much for what we think is special. We got a pretty 1940s pharmacy bureau today that will be my next project. Well, I'm back to bed. I keep trying to work and keep messing things up, so I am giving in to the sickness and just going to sleep.

What have you found lately?

Our Day in Pensacola

+ B R E A K F A S T +
This morning, Doug and I woke up super early and took the boys for a good walk to the docks. They love Florida already and I do too. I've never been to Pensacola before, I am kind of in love. It was so heavy with fog this morning and it felt so nice to just hang out with the pups. Doug's Mom is severely allergic to dogs, so they can't stay in the house, and lord only knows those boys of ours are spoiled rotten, so you can imagine how sad they are to have to stay in the back room. They have been extra excited to go for walks.

Doug's stepdad wanted Krispy Kreme, so we took the car down to the corner store and got donuts for breakfast. Normally I would have eaten a few, but I only had one. I'm trying, friends, I am trying so damn hard. But I had my cup of coffee and one lemon donut and I felt good. I have been really good about entering in my meals into weight watchers, it helps there is an app. Please excuse my broken phone screen, I dropped it, AGAIN, and Doug hasn't had time to fix it yet.

I never thought I would say this, but I am all junked out. I cant go thrifting again, even if somebody paid me. Doug's mom and cousin took us out, and boy, oh boy, they thrift like it's a sport, and I think we went to about 15 stores today. I left every single one of them with a bag of stuff. I am going to dedicate a post to it next week once we have internet set up in our house. I miss thrifting in the south, it's a whole new ball game. YAWL have no idea.

We ate lunch at The Oar House, which you can imagine made Doug and I giggle. Regardless of the name, it was really good. I had a crab cake burger and fries, which were perfect. After lunch we did a lot more thrifting, laughing and driving around Pensacola. Doug and I leave tomorrow morning for Steinhatchee and will finally be home, at least for a month or so. I can't wait to get settled and back to work. It has been so very nice spending time with Dougie's mom and family.

What does your weekend look like? If you blog about it, leave me a link, I would love to read about your adventures!

Lazy Sunday

Today has been super lazy. I feel A LOT better. All I needed was a little crying and some sleep. Yesterday we woke up early and went yard saling. So much fun! Found some really lovely treasures, including this wooden crate of rocks, and some vintage signs and box of letters. (Don't mind the typo in the photos, if you even see it...let's just say I left out the last two letters of a word and didn't notice until much later...oh well!)
I still have a few hours until work. But I just listed some items in the shop and if you use the coupon code TWOODD, you get 20% off for the rest of the weekend. I also FINALLY set up my studio! So excited. I still have a few more things to do, but will have photos up within the next few days. Here are some photos I took for the shop in my new space!!
Both of these little guys are available here and here.

We have also been featured in some pretty treasuries lately.
And now for 4 things:

4 things I did today:
1. Slept in late late late
2. Made breakfast for Dougie (eggs and toast!)
3. Clipped the roses in our garden, so pretty!
4. Worked some more on my studio

4 things on my to do list:
1. Lose 15 pounds before we go to Florida
2. Work harder on keeping our space organized.
3. Give the dogs a bath!! Yikes!
4. Ride my bike to work at least 3 times a week (which won't be so hard, now!)

4 of my guiltiest pleasures:
1. Mac & cheese, eclaires and coca-cola (uh...junk food...) OH, and salted pretzels at the Zoo
2. Reality Television
3. Sleeping puppies
4. Oprah's book club. Don't tell anyone!

4 random facts about me:
1. I graduated high school when I was 16, and got my bachelors degree the same year I turned 21.
2. SO allergic to onions, milk, and a laundry list of antibiotics. So frail!
3. Even though I am pretty tall (5foot8) I only wear a size 7.5 in shoes.
4. When I was little, I collected miniature everything. Especially pigs. Who knows why.

If you want to copy and paste these 4 things for your blog, I'd love to read your 4 things!
Hope your Sunday is nice and lazy too.

Morning in Pictures

Dougie made me breakfast this morning and we went to the flea market. Got some inventory for the shop and some treasures for our home.
Here is what I saw.
There is a snail in the tulip.
The Southern Anthem.
I have to get ready for work now. This has been the longest week of my life, if you are someone waiting for an item to be shipped to you, it will be tomorrow. The shop will be updated tomorrow, and I will be at ease for a few days at least. Happy Friday to me. Happy Sunday to you.
