For some strange reason, I woke up this morning wanting to make something. Weird, right? Well, to preface this, I am NOT good at sewing. I like it. It's fun, but I'm not good at it. I am sloppy and impatient, and don't follow patterns. That being said, I felt like trying out a restyled peter pan collar for this old stripped turtleneck shirt. I looked up a bunch of how-to make your own patterns and found this awesome
blog and
video and followed the idea, roughly. Honestly, i was just playing around and this took me 45 minutes to do, so if you want to be serious about it, follow the lesson more closely than I did!
I took a bunch of photos while I was sewing but they were all really boring, and for some reason, I am having a hard time focusing the camera today. Ugh. But anyways, here is my kind of lopsided peter pan collar made from an off white raw cotton fabric.
And then I just got bored and took a bunch of photos in front of our garage and in the driveway.
I've got to run to the post office now, but I hope everyone has a great day and hooray, it's Friday!!
xo,
Beca
