Moonshine Marshmallows

WI3J6539

Firstly, let's all agree that homemade marshmallows are probably one of the most amazing treats known to mankind. And they certainly blow store bought marshmallows out of the water. Add a little moonshine and when they have settled, drop them in a cup of coffee or do what I do and eat handfuls of them with no shame.

I'm not going to lie, I was pretty impressed with myself after making these. I've been such a mess lately that I was sure that these would just fall into a big puddle of goo. I haven't made marshmallows in a while and my brain is buzzing with so many things that I was sure it would be a disaster. They aren't the easiest thing to make. But not the hardest. For some reason I have been having difficulties making time to make time intensive projects. But it really does soothe my busy, busy soul to stop and make some treats in the middle of absolute chaos.

Speaking of chaos - Happy November!

{I used the marshmallow recipe from Sugar Baby: Confections, Candies, Cakes & Other Delicious Recipes for Cooking with Sugar, my new favorite candy book! and added 1 TBSP of Tennessee Moonshine.}

  4. You amaze me! No clue how you make time to bake incredible things and crank out like a billion rad glasses! I showered today and I'm just a little too proud of myself for accomplishing that. lol

  6. Marshmallows seem so hard to make! I'm great with pies and cakes and sweets, but we'll see. I may take this on when I find some spare time. And with moonshine, how fun!

  8. This would be bad for James and I. We would always be eating these. Always.

    Wait... that's not bad, haha. I'll definitely attempt to make these. Also James says, "Hi guys."

  9. I've been meaning to make homemade marshmallows for a while, but was always worried I'd eff it up. But this idea with the moonshine makes it more tempting...
