Salted Caramel Fudge

WI3J5992
Fudge is one of those things that I don't think of making regularly. It's finicky and easy to mess up. Also, I am really impatient and fudge is the kind of thing that takes patience and self control. But lord knows it's worth it when you get a good batch of fudge. It makes the house smell like a chocolate factory and it's so incredibly satisfying.

Salted caramel is the rage right now. And for good reason, it's the perfect blend of salty and sweet. Something I need right now - a middle ground. Our life is busy and messy and seems to be more dramatic than I usually like. But, it's nice to slow down and watch the fudge reach exactly 234 degrees F. Exactly.

It's Wednesday already, I barely slept last night. We watched The Hunger Games and stayed up talking until 6am. I thought the movie was okay, and early morning conversation was the medicine I needed. I am assembling a crate full of glasses this afternoon and waiting patiently for fed-ex. And eating lots of fudge. So. Much. Fudge.

Back to it.

  4. Damn girl, I dedicate myself to making better food choices and you post THIS?!?! Bookmarked it for the holidays when all bets are off anyway.

I understand that life is absolute insanity, but seeing that you're assembling a whole crate of glasses today, well, you're just so lucky to be doing what you want to do, and I understand how incredibly satisfying it is to work with our hands, to see the result of your labour at the end of every day.
Guess I just wanted to say kudos. Keep on rocking in the free world? I don't know.
